- Java For Mac Os X 10.4 Release 9.5
- Java For Mac Os X 10.4 Release 9.2
- Java For Mac Os X 10.4 Release 9.7
ITS will no longer provide support for Mac OS X version 10.4 (Tiger) and 10.5 (Leopard). Version 10.4 was released in 2005 and 10.5 was released in 2007. Apple no longer provides security updates for these systems. It is against University policy for ITS to support an unsecure operating system.
To see what operating system you are using, go to the Apple Menu in the top left corner. Select “About This Mac” to see the version number. Also, note if the processor says “PowerPC”. If so, you will need to get a newer computer with an “Intel” processor. Tiger and Leopard were the last operating systems that could use PowerPC.
Support retirement means that desktop support staff will no longer install or troubleshoot issues related to this software. Instead, ITS will provide assistance with updating to a supported operating system.

Java For Mac Os X 10.4 Release 9.5
BlueCove provides an implementation of the JSR 82. Applications should use API defined in JSR-82. You may find many examples on the internet describing the usage of JSR 82.
We created short (50 lines of code each) examples for you to get started with JSR-82 application development:
Legal
BlueCove is licensed under Apache License, Version 2.0. The license allows linking and distributing commercial software with BlueCove.
Java For Mac Os X 10.4 Release 9.2
BlueCove BlueZ module is licensed under GNU General Public License.
Java For Mac Os X 10.4 Release 9.7
For various technical and legal reasons, BlueCove library is not legally referred to as an implementation of JSR-82. In order to legally refer to a piece of software as a JSR, it must pass the JSR-82 TCK or Sun TCK. Current BlueCove JSR-82 TCK compatibility status can be found here. Mainly there are some missing APIs in native stacks to implement full TCK compatibility.
